Fire Alarm Systems Field Support Technician

Keltron IoT Corp. is seeking a Fire Alarm Systems Field Support Technician to join our technical team. This hands-on role is responsible for the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of lab and field equipment used in conjunction with the Keltron LS 7000 Life Safety Event Management System. The ideal candidate will also train integrators, end-users, and dispatchers on system components, and provide on-site commissioning and ongoing technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Keltron LS 7000 systems and interfacing lab equipment.
  • Program and maintain Keltron IP/Ethernet and Mesh Radio communication systems.
  • Conduct training sessions for system integrators, end-users, and dispatch personnel.
  • Perform on-site commissioning and testing of life safety communication systems.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales technical assistance, support sales team during customer engagements.
  • Represent Keltron at industry trade shows and assist with booth setup, demonstrations, and customer engagement.
  • Offer remote and on-site technical support and diagnostics to end users and partners.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of system configurations and service history.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems required.
  • 3+ years of experience in fire and life safety systems or related technical field.
  • Strong knowledge of event management systems and communication protocols.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Effective communicator with experience delivering technical training.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, system commissioning, and trade show participation.
  • Proficient in reading system schematics, network diagrams, and equipment documentation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with emergency communication and fire alarm interface systems.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet/IP networks and RF mesh technologies.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA codes and UL standards related to life safety systems.

Location:

Position requires travel to customer sites. Candidate must be located in Roanoke, VA or Rockland, MA area. Will require in office days weekly. Some hybrid may be accomodated.
