Keltron Introduces the LS Net Ethernet Alarm Transceiver
Expands Suite of Life Safety Event Management Solutions to Include Ethernet Monitoring

Waltham, Mass., September 14 2006 – Keltron Corporation, a leading provider of life safety event management solutions, introduces the Keltron LSNet Ethernet Alarm Transceiver, an Ethernet-based, addressable transceiver that enables reliable, cost-effective alarm monitoring for multi-building facilities and municipal environments.

The addition of Keltron LS Net extends the company’s extensive alarm monitoring solutions to include Ethernet communications as well as active network radio, distributed multiplex, digital dialer, fiber optics, direct wire and coded loop systems.

Like all Keltron solutions, the universally-compatible Keltron LSNet is compatible with a wide range of FACPs and leverages existing standard network infrastructure using XML-based message formats.

Part of the Keltron Life Safety Event Management System, the Keltron LS Net uses both input-monitoring circuitry and secure, supervised Ethernet communications to transmit alarms directly to a Keltron LS 7000 central receiving station. The Keltron LSNet transceivers provide high-performance signaling with advanced error detection and secure transmission methods. Bilateral supervision ensures end-to-end reliability.

Berkshire Systems Group of Reading, Pennsylvania is among the first companies to use the new system. “We were looking for a system that was easy to set up, configure and integrate into our customers’ existing networks” said Bob Yerger, president. “Keltron’s LS Net system’s low network overhead and highly reliable functionality are critical to providing our customers with optimal solutions to their alarm monitoring requirements.”

“More than just a dialer capture module, the Keltron LS Net transceiver is highly supervised and monitors both point-addressable and conventional FACPs.” said Harvey Fox, president and founder of Keltron Corporation.
