Announcing Keltron LS 7000 Life Safety Event Management System V 3.0 Software
Expands Functionality with Programmable Event Segregation and Ethernet Transceiver Support

Waltham, Mass., September 14 2006 – Keltron Corporation, a leading provider of life safety event management solutions, announces the availability of version 3.0 software for the Keltron LS 7000 life safety event management system. This important release includes two interim upgrades with features that have been developed at the recommendation of Keltron’s customers.

The newest system in the company’s extensive line of fire protection systems, the Keltron LS 7000 combines the flexibility and efficiency of PC-based, network-compatible computing with the universal compatibility and dependability for which Keltron’s solutions are known.

The Keltron LS 7000 Version 3.0 software release includes these significant new features, upgrades and improvements:

Programmable Event Segregation: this important new feature enables events to be directed to different operators at different workstations. Widely requested in both campus and municipal environments, this feature enables a new level of flexibility.

Keltron LS Net Ethernet Transceiver Support: in addition to direct wire, fiber, radio and digital dialer signaling technologies, the Keltron LS 7000 now supports the new Keltron LS Net Ethernet transceiver that transmits signals using standard 10/100 megabits/second Ethernet communications technology.

Coded-Signal Support: this new release of the Keltron LS 7000 software provides an intuitive method of entering of coded signal information along with direct display and history reporting for coded signal systems.

Multi-Workstation Network Configuration: a single, application-specific utility program makes the connection between Keltron LS 7000 workstations and the Keltron LS Server fast and efficient.

Receiver Interface Status: when the Keltron LS 7000 system encounters problems with connections to the event receivers, it reports, logs and records the information to history as supervisory alarms. This provides enhanced visibility into system operation for increased system integrity.

Other enhancements include:
Customized Default Login
Flexible, Programmable Cross-Zone Restoral
Add-Device Wizard
Fast Access to Last Event Received
History Performance Upgrades
At-A-Glance Service Mode Display
Event Detail Reporting
Workstation Watchdog

Keltron’s engineering team continues to develop enhancements that will increase performance, functionality and usability of the Keltron LS 7000 system. Increasing numbers of system users provide constant insight into improving the system to meet their needs.

Keltron’s LS 7000 meets the mission critical needs of the life safety industry by providing direct and efficient access to life safety event information and enabling the fastest response to critical fire and security situations. The Keltron LS 7000 delivers alarm monitoring, response and dispatch services through a Windows-based, secure, reliable and flexible alarm management system. The system is capable of receiving alarms from multiple FACPs and from a wide variety of industry standard technologies including Ethernet, radio, distributed multiplex, digital alarm communicator/receiver, direct wire, and coded signal.
